Let’s Tell a Story

Providing high-quality editing services with kindness, compassion, and judgment-free support.

Feedback can be tough

I know your book is your baby. To give birth to it, you cried, sweat, and maybe even bled a little. I’m sure the last thing you want is a mean teacher going through it with a red pen, taking out everything that made it sound like you.

I don’t want that either.

I strive to help you maintain your voice. It’s your story; I want to help you tell it. While it can sometimes be hard to hear, my feedback is always given with kindness and compassion. My goal is always to make you feel like you’re working with a friend.

Do you really need an editor?

I know times are tough, and professional book editing is no small expense. We’ve all got to save money where we can, and many authors choose to skip out on professional edits. What makes professional editing worth it?

A book you can be proud of

Lord knows how much time you spent writing the damn thing. Don’t you think it’s worth it to make the quality of the product reflect all that time, effort, and energy? You don’t want your readers to be snapped out of your story by typos, timeline errors, and misspellings.

Having someone specifically trained to find those problems and correct them is a huge deal. With professional book editing, you’ll get a book you don’t have to feel self-conscious about. You’ll get a book you can be proud to show off.

You need objective feedback

You’ve spent countless hours staring at your screen and pouring everything you have into your story. You’ve agonized over every detail, sentence, and punctuation mark. You can’t even see it anymore.

Maybe your mom has read it. Maybe your partner has read it. Maybe beta readers and writing groups have read it. Everyone’s given you great, indispensable feedback. But they don’t know what they don’t know, and they also probably have some bias.

Professional book editing with me guarantees objective feedback that your mom loves you too much to give, and your beta readers probably don’t know enough to tell you.

You’re worth it

You wrote a BOOK, friend! That is no small accomplishment, and I couldn’t be prouder of you. You want to send it out for the whole world to read, and you should definitely do that.

But trying to convince readers or literary agents to pick up your book when there are countless options? No easy task. You’re asking them to believe in your story. To invest their time in it. To invest their money in it.

YOU FIRST!

You are a worthwhile investment. Your story is a worthwhile investment. I really do believe that. Do you?
